Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The main aim of this subject is to acquire theoretical and practical basis for skilled fishery management of the running water in the extents required by fishery rules (Fishery Rule No. 99/2004). To provide basic knowledge in legal points at issues connected with fisheries, water and fishery rules, rules of landscape protection, rules of veterinary etc.
 
Course content:
1.
Hydrological characterization, pollution and ecological state of ichthyofauna of the Czech Republic water bodies. The fisheries based classification of rivers. (allowance 10/0)
2.
Fishery management in water courses, water reservoirs and other water stretches. (allowance 4/0)
3.
Fish technology, fish rearing and stocking (ecologically endangered species are included) (allowance 14/0)
4.
Sport fishing methods (fly fishing, spinning, float fishing, bottom fishing) (allowance 0/6)
5.
Electro-fishing field practice (allowance 0/6)
6.Sport fishing field practice in cyprinid and salmonid waters (allowance 0/12)
7.
Water and fishery rules and other correlated rules in their final version, their binding to EU rules. (allowance 28/6)
