Aims of the course:
To acquire basic knowledge about hydrobiological process in freshwater biotopes, bionomy of fish species, negative affect of agricultural pollution fish culture and river ichthyofauna
 
Course contents:
1.Basic hydrochemical and hydrobiological process in standing and running waters (allowance 14/14)
2.Basics of fish biology - anatomy, physiology, taxonomy and bionomy of czech fish species (allowance 4/4)
3.Principles of fishery management of trout and cyprinids waters (allowance 2/0)
4.Fish culture - pond fishery, trout culture (allowance 4/4)
5.Fishery management of drinking water reservoirs (allowance 2/0)
6.Endangered and protected fish species (allowance 2/0)
7.Visitation of a typical czech fish farm and demonstration of electrofishing method in the river (allowance 0/6)

-Evaluate ecological status of surface waters
-To acquire basic knowledge about fish biology
-To acquire basic knowledge about freshwater hydrobiology and hydrochemistry

-To acquire basic knowledge about protected fish species
